we reached our hotel around 11plusplus and wanted to check in but the nice receptionist lady (she reminded me a little bit of valerie when she had longer hair. teehee) said we can only check in at 1pm. i was already very hungry that time and dying. so we went downstairs to the restaurant beside the pool and ate there. i ate a plate of sandwich and drank a glass of orange juice.my juice was 13dollars and my sandwich was 19dollars. ): a plate of mee goreng mamak would cost you up to 23dollars when you can actually get it for only 5dollars at any regular mamak stall. shiang ate a plate of seafood spaghetti that had oysters in it and drank a cappucino. with just that small amount of food, guess how much our meal came up to be. RM80++. i can't remember the exact price but yeah. that was the amount. our first meal. and it wasn't even that fulfilling. )): shiang said, 'what to do? four star hotel ma.' and it truly was. :D
progression of pictures (i cannot express how much i hate blogger with their stupid html) :
1 : the waiting lounge.
2 : i can see the pool from where i sat. :D
3 : shiang was very sleepy already. :p
4 : the both of us worn out and tired. we even had backaches. ):
finally, it was 1pm! yay! we went back to the receptionist and the lady give me our room key. we went upstairs, put our stuff down, and went and take a shower. we have to change after half a day's travel right? (:
(i still hate blogger. *fuming)
progression of pictures..
1 : our room. whee!!~
2 : the balcony.
3 : we had the scenic view of the pool and the seaside.
4 : relaxing on the bed. (:
we showered and then change and headed out jalan jalan. we heard that there would be a bazaar 10 minutes from our hotel so we drove there to check it out. receptionist said that we can't walk because its quite far and it was a winding road. so it was quite dangerous. i'm going to kill the person who said that the bazaar is ''within walking distance''. walking distance my ass. pffftt. it was really sunny outside and i really wanted to wear my sunnies. but if i did, i could barely see. in the end, the heat got the better of me and i took off my spectacles and put on the sunnies. (: and here's what i did just so i could see. it worked, though it made me look like a retard. how i envy those with perfect eyesight. see what i mean about how hot it is? phew! and we saw a horse. sadly, when i took out my phone, the horse was already by our side. stupid slow phone. i should just get a camera. pffftt. :p and then when my camera was really ready already, i only managed to capture the horse's behind. i'm so sad and pathetic. gahh!
byebye horsie. ): i got myself an ice-cream and i really just love it so much! yumm!! the best part of the cornetto strawberry ice-cream is the part where they have the strawberry jam in the middle. nyumm!
we went back to beach opposite our hotel and shiang showed me what he really liked to do on the beach with his brothers when they were smaller.
catching these practically invisible crabs!! haha. they're really quite adorable. (: they have restaurants at the side of the beach and it was at this restaurant where we were catching the practicallyinvisible crabs, we saw it. the one and only animal that will start grabbing his little brother at whoever he sees and does god knows what with it. this is.... it!!! tada!
okay, so this is not the 'self-masturbating' monkey but this is one of its brothers! (: the self masturbating monkey was at another seaside restaurant. whenever he sees anyone walking by his cage, he'll walk to the side of the cage and grab himself. so ewwy. D: but oh well, i stand by what i say, monkeys are much more adorable in their cages. heehee.
the seaside beside the humping monkey's restaurant is just beautiful! it is actually much brighter in real life. god knows what's wrong with my phone. ): see that lone rock over there? just before the three rocks behind it? that lone one over there? there are stuffs growing all over the place on the side of the rock. i'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it. they grow really weirdly and disgustingly and they have small tiny holes where that certain sea creature stays in it. its really disgusting. the sight of it triggered a memory a few years ago when i came here with my family. my cousins would just pluck those things off and eat them. raw. *shuddering at the thought* they tried to get me to eat but i firmly stood my ground and said no. i felt too.. disgusted is such a strong word.. but somewhere within the 'disgusting' meaning. i wasn't putting those live things into my mouth without a reason. birds would just pluck them out of their homes and eat them as well leaving behind the holes and that's where my goosebumps raise ever higher. yuck. seriously. what animals are those? can anyone tell me?
then we went off to island plaza just for something to do while waiting for the bazaar to set up and for the rain to stop. we went to the top floor and shiang went to this indoor golf range and played golf while i shivered my ass off in one of the metal chairs.
after that, we decided to get our dinner there and then. went to this japanese restaurant called jopin or something like that.
the only thing i'll ever order in a japanese restaurant is chicken teriyaki. its the best! (: although i wouldn't say no to the fried salmon set. :p
went back to the hotel to rest for a while, headed out to the bazaar and got ourselves a new pair of shorts each. cheapcheapcheap! then we bought a torchlight and went back out to the beach to play with what i fondly called the ketams. haha. my camera can't really capture the ketam's appearance because apparently the dumb phone will only focus on the background. pffftt. we even brought a starfish back to the hotel. haha. then we started looking for the ketams in the holes they make in the sand. lol. i don't know if the startfish was dead or alive because when i washed it and left it overnight in a plate of water, sticky stuff were oozing out of the starfish and the starfish actually left a stain of something on the plate. i dried it off on the towel and it left a stain there. ooopps! hopefully it comes off. :D
1 : the crab was actually staring at me while i took its picture. haha. so adorable.
2 : a big scary looking ketam.
3 : the claw of one of the ketams' that was hiding under the sand and shiang poking it with a stick.
4 : the starfish. hmmm... why isn't it as pink as patrick?
5 : the stain it left on the hotel's towel. :p
the next morning, we woke up, me having trouble waking the lazy boy again, and went for breakfast. after breakfast, we went to the beach for a while to play with some more ketams and then went back to the hotel for a swim. heehee. darn. the foreigners there really can stand the afternoon sun. it was so freaking hot! as a result, both me and shiang have sunburns now. only mine is on the shoulders. making it really uncomfortable when i wear my bra. ): then we went off to kfc for lunch. there(i think it was the heat), i fainted. in front of a group of people. shiang said my eyes were open the whole time i was out. he went off to find a place to sit because his blisters were killing his feet so i stood there and waited for the food to come. i remember feeling a little faint and my vision started to blur and the next thing i knew, i was on the ground. when shiang came to me, he thought someone had knocked me over and i was just stoning on the ground. then the aunty behind me told him that i just fell like that. i went to the toilet and vomitted out my breakfast which was about 6 hours ago! hmm.. so we went back to the hotel. showered and rested for a while and then at 6, we checked out. i had decided that i wanted to go see this shop in prangin mall because my sister's friend got his tattoo there for a very low price. shiang and i are planning to get tattoos. heehee. he doesn't allow me to pierce my tongue but he allows me to get a tattoo. haha. funny boyfriend.
after the trip to prangin mall, it was byebye penang. (: so that's about it. my penang trip. (: toodles!
ps : i love you so much baby. thanks for the trip. i really enjoyed it even though we both had something bothering us that day. mwahmwah! i love you! xoxo
